Arranging
for an Art Exhibit
Crossroads Art Exhibits
Crossroads is a community coffee house serving fine coffee, pastry, and luncheon items and is located on Main St (Hwy 14) in Cross Plains Wisconsin, about 8 miles west of Middleton. Crossroads' art display changes regularly and features works by Wisconsin artists or having Wisconsin themes. Exhibits can feature works of an individual artist or be a collaborative display by 2-3 people. Crossroads also organizes themed shows, with many local artists each contributing a single piece. Exhibits generally are changed every 4 to 6 weeks.
Venue
Art Exhibits at Crossroads generally consist of 2D or 3D works hung on the walls. Floor-standing sculpture has also been displayed, both inside and on the patio, and smaller 3D objects such as wooden or ceramic pieces have been displayed on stands or in window sills behind bench seating where patrons can admire the work.
Interested in Arranging for an Art Show at Crossroads
Crossroads Coffeehouse is open to regional artists looking for space to display their work. Wall space is sufficient to hang 15 to 20 2d pieces (depending on size). Contact us with information about yourself and your art. Please note, the art can be hung for up to six weeks maximum.
Once a show is scheduled we will work with you to successfuly launch and manage the display. The week before the show, we will need: 1)pieces ready-to-hang, 2)a price list and information about each piece, and 3)a brief artist's bio on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet. Crossroads will provide hanging, show labels, and sales records. Sales are subject to a commission. Pieces requiring special handling should be discussed well ahead of time.
